Last night the Lady Knights took on the Lady Hornets from Muenster in a district match.

The night was a special night, not only did the Lady Knights beat Muenster for the first time since the 2007-2008 season (14 consecutive games). But the team donned Team Russ shirts in pregame in honor of Russ Duncan, a close friend of Coach Driggers who is currently battling cancer.

The Lady Knights never trailed in a 53-41 victory. The win also clinched a playoff birth for the Lady Knights for the first time since the 2012-2013 season. Leading the Lady Knights was Maddy Zimmerer with 21 points and 2 assists. Sydney Ott with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Sarah Fuhrmann with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 steals and 2 assists, Kailei Klement with 2 points, 4 rebounds, Liz Hellman with 2 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists and Bethani Cornelison with 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

In the JV contest the Lady Knights also beat the Lady Hornets 21-16. Leading the Lady Knights was Jocelyn Grewing with 11 points, Kalyn Pulte and Marisa Rodriguez with 4 points each, and Mia Burrows with 2 points.
