Praise for Lindsay

I thought I would share an email I received this morning from a parent from another school at yesterday’s Middle School Cross Country meet. Proud of our kids.

Yesterday my son ran in his first ever cross country meet with Azle Junior High. He has never played any sport and really wants to get in shape. He has asthma and had been ill previous to the meet. He really struggled and was in last place. As he was coming around the last corner there was a group of your boys. They stopped and started cheering my son on and encouraging him. As a mother that made me cry. It touched my heart that your young athletes were encouraging him, a total stranger. I have to say well done to your athletic program for teaching them these skills that make them great athletes and decent people with character. I was so thankful for what they did for my son. Well done Lindsay ISD and your amazing athletic program. What y’all did for my son was amazing. He finished dead last but he finished the race and will only get better from here.

A grateful mom,
